Passionate about people

Generating meaningful data. Developing practical solutions. Supporting positive change

With a passion for understanding organisations and the teams within, I have used my skills and experience as a Research Consultant to pioneer effective and supportable change for my clients. I understand that different teams have their own unique cultures, beliefs and challenges. It’s one of the reasons why I am dedicated to research and committed to delivering exceptional services to my clients.

Using my personable nature and simply asking the right questions in the right way, I can see how details fit within the bigger picture. My company, Michaela Fay Research Consultancy in Newcastle provides a number of key services to find out what makes people tick and delve deeper into what individuals truly care about.

The methods and processes we use inspires not the top-down, meaningless, sticky plaster improvements companies have gotten so used to making, but the bottom-up change that tackles real world issues and makes sustainable change possible.

Client Testimonials

  • I have been working alongside Michaela over the past couple of years on a number of research projects and proposals involving my adolescent and young adult patients. The quality of Michaela’s work has been excellent, particularly in the area of qualitative research, and she communicates well my patients. She has proved reliable and a joy to work with!

  • Michaela has worked with me on a number of projects but most recently as a qualitative researcher to evaluate an NHS England funded New care model Vanguard site. Along with her robust methodological approach she brought a pragmatism to the understanding of the health economy and polices, in this case GP practices, such that she understand their challenges and pressures and built relationships to ensure the qualitative e work was completed on time.

  • We commissioned Michaela to evaluate the strengths and challenges characterising our charity to help inform future developments and planning. She designed, conducted and managed the whole research project. It was carried out sensitively and ethically with respect for clients, staff and external stakeholders. She completed it on time and with great professionalism. It was thorough, detailed, accurate and very effective. I strongly recommend Michaela for the high quality of her work.

  • We relied on Michaela to help with an urgent and crucial qualitative project – and she delivered on all fronts! Her interview skills were excellent and she undertook a thorough analysis of the data. We were very impressed with the work she did for us.

  • Michaela contributed positively in the steering group with challenges from decision makers. In addition, she worked well with other methodological evaluators, particularly the patient evaluation, to support and align the evaluation, analysis and reporting. The final report included practice qualitative elements unable to be obtained in other ways to contribute the GP staff views of the service. This was used to inform and refine current and future services.
